BETSY ISRAEL has 35 years of experience as an editor, journalist, writer and screenwriter, and is the author of two books, Grown-Up Fast: a True Story of Teenage Life in Suburban America (Simon and Schuster/Poseidon Press) and Bachelor Girl: The Secret History of Single Women in the 20th Century (HarperCollins/William Morrow). She is now a freelance editor, writing coach and ghostwriter, working on books and occasionally on screenplays.
